The following is a meeting of RJI’s Global Advisory Council (GAC) (partial) with participants from South Africa, Brazil, U.S. and India. The GAC met on June 5th, 2020 at 7:30am Pacific. On the agenda: racial violence, including the death of George Floyd in the U.S., restorative policing and covid-19 reports from around the world. Members participating included Pastor Jonathan Peter Clayton (South Africa), Paulo Moratelli (Brazil), Lisa Rea (U.S.-moderator and President), & Upneet Lalli (India). RJI believes this is an important exchange between our GAC members as we discuss some very difficult subjects facing our nation and the world at this hour. We thank each member for their contribution and hope that by hearing from our global partners you will learn, be encouraged and become advocates and supporters of restorative justice. It’s through the commitment of our members and affiliates that RJI brings justice—restorative justice– to the nations.
