UK’s Ministry of Justice: Hearing the Stories of Victims

RJI applauds the UK’s Ministry of Justice as it continues to expand the use of restorative justice in the UK.
Telling the stories of victims and their support for restorative justice is critical to understanding the power of restorative justice. Victim offender dialogue is one example of restorative justice. RJI calls it the gold standard.
To get to the heart of our crime problem we must provide options for victims of crime after they have been injured that will increase their satisfaction with the justice system while holding offenders accountable for their actions. That’s restorative justice. It’s a balanced approach to crime and it works.
