San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin: RJI podcast with Lisa Rea & Jeffrey Deskovic (U.S.)-April 14, 2022

Today’s RJI podcast is with San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin. The podcast is co-moderated by RJI President Lisa Rea and Jeffrey Deskovic, Deskovic Foundation, who sits on RJI’s Global Advisory Council. Deskovic was exonerated for a crime he did not commit and advises RJI on wrongful convictions. Today’s podcast is to learn what DA Boudin has been doing since elected in 2019. RJI endorsed him in 2019 because of his support for restorative justice, criminal justice reform in general, and his strong position on wrongful convictions.
On June 7, Boudin faces a recall in San Francisco. We learn more about that recall effort as DA Boudin makes his case for remaining in office.

April 22, 2022Thank you. Yes, we caught that misunderstanding after the podcast ended. Perhaps we can get DA Boudin to respond during another podcast. Speaking for RJI, we believe victims-driven restorative justice is needed to hold offenders accountable and bring healing, on some level, to crime victims. Thank you for your comment.
