Paul Kohler (UK) Supports Restorative Justice as a Victim of Violent Crime (February 2025)

RJI shares the following news item from BBC News where Paul Kohler, victim of violent crime, talks about his support for restorative justice. Kohler was viciously attacked during a home invasion in 2014. He tells why restorative justice empowered him after the attack. Paul Kohler is now a MP in Parliament as of the summer of 2024.

RJI supports the use of restorative justice in cases of violent, and nonviolent, crime. With the use of restorative justice victims are more satisfied with the justice system, offenders are held accountable, and communities are safer. According to RJI, restorative justice should be made available to all crime victims in nations around the world. The best way to make that happen is through statute.
