New York prosecutors support victims-driven restorative justice
Prosecutors are starting to see that restorative justice that is victims-centered and victims-driven is good for not only crime victims but the best way to hold offenders accountable. Restorative justice is much more than allowing a crime victim to read a victims impact statement in court. Restorative justice is a vision for a new justice system that allows restoration of crime victims and stresses offender accountability.
